    Hub Manager Flight Tracking

Hi guys, I'm going to be starting a European Tour and so I thought, just for the heck of it, I'd do one of those Google maps to track my progress and make it public so all of you guys can follow along if you have nothing better to do. I just reached my CAT V rating and my plan was once I got my shiny new PMDG 747 I was going to take it for my first ever trip across the pond.

I started my tour in Los Angeles cause I always envisioned my trip starting with the cross country trip from LA to NYC.

The first leg is complete LA to New York's JFK next stop will be London Heathrow.

Below is the link to follow I'll be posting pictures and stories from the trip here as well. Feel free to comment. Or even start your own tracker! Just another way us Washington Dulles Hub guys can keep up with each other!

Have fun on your European tour, Mike.  I hope you had a nice big crossword puzzle - or something like that - to do in the cockpit for the trans-atlantic hop shown our your rather excellent Google Map.

    Update: 9-25-2009

So I have started my European Tour! First stop after arriving in Heathrow a few weeks back is Liverpool England. I'll probably hop around England and Ireland for a few flights before heading on to the continent. However I am now using FS Pax, which I think is really cool, adds a whole new dimension of realism.

Don't forget you can track my progress on this google map.

Don't forget to drop in Mike! Wink

If your looking for some smaller strips (MS did a pretty bad job with airports in Ireland), theres an add-on on Avsim called 100 Irish Runways... It does exactly what it says on the tin really! Adds 100 Irish Runways!

Also, if your looking for some scenery for the bigger airports, I reccomend getting the IFSD main installer from this link:  http://www.stephend.net/downloads.html

Its got Dublin, Cork, Galway, Waterford, and Sligo.

Thanks Eoin... I'll be sure to drop by... would you consider Dublin your local strip or something out of the city? And I'll check out those scenery items you mentioned!

    Re: Hub Manager Flight Tracking

My local airport, as in commercial airport, would be Dublin, but my local strip is a little strip called Abbeyshrule. I think the add-on for it is available on avsim. The nearest commercial airport to my college (where I spend my weekdays) is Galway Carnmore, but I still call Dublin my nearest commercial airport! A nice little flight is Dublin-Galway, goes right over my house actually, and Galway is a nice little challenging strip too.

    Re: Hub Manager Flight Tracking

Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated the map in a while.. I've been flying just forgot to be updating the map, so it has now been brought up to date where my aircraft sits now at Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport. Next few stops will be Copenhagen, Edinbourgh, Reykjavik, Oslo, and Prague.  Check it out!
