Hi Guys,
From now on I'm going to try get a Flight Restriction announcment out every Monday unless something major happens.
This weeks flight restrictions all concern the Carribean as it is hurricane season and Hurricane Ike is on the prowl.
- We would like if any of our pilots would volunteer for cargo charter C044, Emergency Relief. Emergency Relief is currently needed in Haiti, the Turks & Caicos Islands and the South Bahamas. The number of regions in need is set to increase daily.
- All flights to Santo Domingo (MDSD) from Heathrow are cancelled. This cancellation will lift tommorow (09/09/08) at midday GMT.
- Any pilots flying to the following areas are to proceed with extreme caution as the situation in these areas is set to detiriorate over the next few days:
Cuba (Struck Today)
Florida Keys & West Florida (Expected Tommorow or the day after)
Louisiana & Texas (within the next 3 or 4 days)
Jamaica & the Yucatan peinsula from East USA and Europe as the storm may be in your flight path.
