New Hub Manager, seeking new AHM

    Fellow KMIA'ers

Phil Cohen really left a great footprint at this hub, and I'm excited to be given this opportunity to work with such professionals.  I invite any newer pilots to get ahold of me with any questions you may have about flight simming, WWA or just to shoot the breeze.  If I don't know the answer to a question, I will find out for you.

My goal, while serving as HM, is to serve you in any way possible.  But my personal goal is to "be there" for the younger folks.  Make the most out of your WWA experience.  Get involved in the forums, spend plenty of time in Denver training, and "bend the ear" of  the seasoned, veteran captains.  They are the ones who got me off the ground, and they've continually provided insight and experienced-based knowledge that have only made my time more enjoyable.

In the real world, I am a Special Agent for the OSI, where I work as a federal criminal investigator, counterintelligence officer, and counterthreat specialist.  I'm currently stationed in South Korea (just returned from Iraq last summer), so my correspondence with you may be a little off as I am 13 hours ahead of Miami time.  I'm 35 years old, married and have two beautiful daughters.  I've been flight simming for about 8 years or so.  And I'm currently using FSX.

The Assistant Hub Manager position is now vacant, and consider this an inside advertisement within KMIA.  I'm looking for someone dedicated to making the hub a better place, and someone for the younger captains to go to for upgrade training.  I will also advertise this position outside of KMIA, but I'd like to give you the first dibs.  If you are interested, please send me a short resume to kroakjr@charter.net.

Again, I want to thank you for allowing me this opportunity, and I am excited about the direction of KMIA and the professionals with whom I will be working with.

    Regards,

    Dave

    Dave,

Congrats on your promotions to hub manager and senior command captain.  I know I've learned a few tricks of the trade from you, and I know you'll serve your hub well.

Thanx Tony!  It's good to hear from you, and I appreciate the encouraging words.  I'm sure Dallas is running smoothly with you at the helm.
