    VRC controller help

I am currently a pilot/ observer / student at ZNY......actually I believe that I am the only WWA controller there.  Well, I have done all of my reading requirements and I feel that I have a pretty good idea about what is going on, I'm just not sure how to apply it with VRC.  I have logged on as an observer and continuosly questioned mentors and instructors that are on and it seems that I always get the same not interested response.  Now I know that we have a few WWA controllers in different areas and I was wondering one of two things.... 1.) Would it be possible to get an instructor or mentor from a defferent area to get onto sweatbox and maybe help me out.  I know that the areas and some SOP's are different but just to get me used to some protocol and the VRC interface. Or 2.) would it be easier for me to transfer to a different ARTCC and hope for better help.  I have found that the community here at WWA is far superior to any "internet" community that I have ever incountered and I would honestly rather receive the help from here instead of there.

I think the thing that I like about NY is the traffic volume that it produces at any given time otherwise I suppose that I am not partial to any area.

    Re: VRC controller help

i was at ZNY for about 6 months and couldnt get anyone except Alex Evins to help me with anything,  I transferred to ZOB and there was plenty of help to be had.  Do you by chance have Teamspeak setup for ZNY.

    Re: VRC controller help

well the initial training for DEL/GND is supposed to also familiarize you with the VRC interface.  As you move up in ranks/duties, more features will be explained to you.

At least, that's how it works/worked in my sector (KZSE).

If you have any VRC questions, feel free to ask me here or via PM/email, I will try to help out.  I'm not an instructor or mentor, but I am a C1 controller, so I use VRC fairly often ;)
