Monthly WWA Screenshot Competition

 

Starting June 1, 2008 Each WWA Hub will be holding individual screenshot competitions.  Beginning on the 1^st of the month until the 15^th, pilots will submit photos to the Hub Manager or Assistant Hub Manager for selection of the top 5 photos to be voted on.  From the 20^th to the 24^th the hub members will then vote for the best photo from their hub.  After the 1 photo is chosen it will go into a pool with the winner from all other WWA Hubs from the 25^th thru the last day of the month voting will take place for the whole airline. 

 

After the winner is chosen that photo will be displayed on the main WWA home page (in place of the WW Denver terminal scenery) and stay there for the duration of the month until the next month’s winner is chosen.

 

Hub Managers and Assistant Hub Managers are ineligible for posting in this competition.

 

Some General guidelines:

 

Timeline:  Submission of screenshots 1^st thru the 15^th

                HM and AHM decide on the top 5 screenshots, 16^th thru 19^th

                Hub voting for top screenshot 20^th thru 24^th

                General vote for top WWA screenshot 25^th thru the last day of the month)

 

Each HM or AHM should do the following after they have decided on the top 5 photos for the hub.  On the 19th send and e-mail to your pilots with the 5 photos you have selected and have then reply with the one they want to vote for. 

 

Pilots are to submit 1 photo only per month, all photos must have Pilot name, WWA# date taken and a brief description of the photo.  The screenshot must be from a flight during the month of the competition.  Ex:  A pilot cannot submit a screenshot taken in May for the June competition.

 

FYI… To take screenshots:

FS9- Press the "Print Screen" key

        Minimize FS, and open "Paint" or a similar program (the flight will pause itself)

        Hold down Ctrl+V.

        Save the document.

 

FSX- Simply press the "V" key.

 

As for image resolution… Send a high resolution image that can be cropped to fit the 800x600 picture on the homepage.

 

Finally, for the July competition and beyond, you can submit photos from the 16^th of the previous month, to the 15^th of the current month.

 

For example:

July -> Submissions from 6/16 to 7/15

August -> Submissions from 7/16 to 8 /15

And so on…

 

There will be no prize for this competition.  The only satisfaction is your screenshot was voted the best in the airline and is posted for all to see.
