Travel [ap] Updated AFCAD for Denver

I have added runway 16R-34L and its connecting taxiways to the Denver AFCAD for FS2004. The original runway 16-34 has been renamed 16L-34R. All taxiway signs have been modified to reflect these changes.  The new runway will be active to ATC and AI traffic and the approaches to the original 16-34 runway have also been modified to accommodate the runway name change.  You can download this new AFCAD from the Aircraft & Scenery download page under Denver Scenery.

Bob -- I just finally got a computer that can actually support installing all the sceneries. Cruised around Denver for a little while before I took off... very, very awesome-looking stuff. I know it's been a while since you designed them... but, looks so good, gotta compliment you on it. Thanks for the hard work.

Thanks for the feedback.  I rarely hear from anyone, and sometimes wonder if anyone is using the scenery.  I'm still working on the FS-2004 hub scenery. I only have 4 more to go. I have to install a larger capacity hard drive. All this scenery has maxed mine out. (I need all kinds of extra stuff for scenery work) Should have one next week.

    Re: Updated AFCAD for Denver

I recently completed my P001 tour in which I stopped at EVERY WestWind Hub and the scenery is top notch. It sure feels a lot better when you pull your plane up to the big WestWind terminal. Adds a lot more realism and makes the game that much more fun.

I'm going to jump on the band wagon here and say that all the people who do all the planes and scenery for WWA do a great job. Everything looks great and I'll second the compliment.

    Bob,

Your Denver scenery is great.  The only issue I have is that our terminal isn't big enough.  I have the AI package from the site (FS9) and late at night there isn't enough parking at the terminal for 767 sized aircraft.  It's a minor thing, and maybe I'm being selfish, but would it be hard to make our terminal about 1.5 to 2 times the size it is currently?

That and as I finish off fixing the cargo schedule, I may eventually have a scenery request for you in regards to cargo areas in Denver (i'm hoping to build an ai traffic file for cargo again).

    Kim,

That is why I created my own AI traffic.  I found that there is too many WestWind aircraft populating our hubs I'll take a look at your request. I haven't been to Denver since I did the scenery (actually haven't had time to fly much at all). If I recall, there is enough real estate at the present location to expand the WestWind terminal.  My priority right now is to finish the remaining FS9 hubs (I believe 4 to go).

There is absolutely no rush, its on my list of "it would be nice to have..."

I may end up making my own ai file also......
