Hey Dan, Good to see some action on the forum for our great Hub. I don't think any of you know what was going on with me for the last two months. On February 2nd my daughter became very ill. She was flown up to Hershey Medical Center's Penn State Children's Hospital. She got to fly in a really cool chopper.
American Eurocopter AS365 N3
Twin Turbomeca Ariel 2C Jet Turbine Engines
1000 hp each
Gross Weight 9480 lbs.
Max. Fuel load 1800 lbs.(300 gals.)
Burns ~ 100 lbs. every 10 minutes
Cruise Speed 170 mph
Max. Range 427 nm
After 47 days and two surgeries in the hospital 2 weeks of which were in the Pediatric ICU, we are now at home with some home nursing and IV Meds and some good Home TLC, Sara is healing up nicely. To say the least I have not had much time to fly, I think I may have gone inactive for a short time although I never got an email letting me know that. I hope to soon be flying more with the company. I am in the middle of P119 and am out in Oregon. I need to make the long trip to Hawaii, I am not sure if I will do that longer haul with the limited time that I have right now. I may have to save that for another day, and just finish up my continental stops, I already have Canada and Alaska in the log book. I am looking forward to more flight time. Just thought I'd let you know whats been going on, I hope everyone else has has less excitement that I have in the last 2+ months...
