Fellow KMIA'ers
Thanx for the warm welcome. I'm really looking forward to doing some damage while I'm here.
I also invite any newer pilots to get ahold of me with any questions you may have about flight simming, WWA or just to shoot the breeze. If you need help with upgrade training, I can help. It wasn't that long ago for me. If I don't know the answer to a question, I will find out for you.
My goal, while serving as AHM, is to assist Phil in any way possible. But my personal goal is to "be there" for the younger folks. Make the most out of your WWA experience. Get involved in the forums, spend plenty of time in Denver training, and "bend the ear" of the seasoned, veteran captains. They are the ones who got me off the ground, and they've continually provided insight and experienced-based knowledge that have only made my time more enjoyable.
In the real world, I am a Special Agent for the OSI, where I work as a federal criminal investigator, counterintelligence officer, and counterthreat specialist. I'm currently stationed in South Korea (just returned from Iraq last summer), so my correspondence with you may be a little off as I am 12 hours ahead of Miami time. I'm 34 years old, married and have two beautiful daughters.
I've been flight simming for about 8 years or so, I think. And I'm currently using FSX. Well, that is all for now. Again, I want to thank you for allowing me to join your team, and I am excited about the direction of KMIA and the professionals with whom I will be working with.
Regards,
Dave
