    Cargo Routes

Hey Kim, I was wondering if we could get some Cargo routes out of JFK for the United States, other then the small planes. I see only one wide body out to Oakland. Thanks for looking into this for us :)

    Re: Cargo Routes

    John,

I'll look at it, but no promises.  The cargo system is set up loosely on the FedEx/UPS model, and they don't do a lot of "non-hub" flying (the main hub in our case being Denver).  I'm also not sure how much real world domestic cargo flying there is out of JFK when you remove UPS and FedEx from the equation.  I've been pondering some cargo flights between that would connect our passenger hubs to each other (and have actually created a few to see how it works out).......

So a question for you.  Does it have to be JFK, or would EWR be ok?  Just for planning purposes on my end.......

btw JFK (& BOS) gained a daily 747-400F to Rio last week I think.........

Thats all I ask, is a look see, and no, JFK/EWR is fine. I didn't know our system was based off of FedEx & UPS.

We do have one coast to coast JFK/OAK and if thats all we can do then thats fine. Thank you for your time, and all your hard work in what you do for all of us here at WW

John, you can always fly any route you want with a Cargo Charter. Can't remember which number applies but it is there.

C048 is the ad-hoc cargo charter
    C044 is the disaster relief

    Re: Cargo Routes

    C048 is the correct one......

    One other thing for John.

When you search for Cargo routes you need to keep in mind that the big hub for the US is Denver (DEN).  As such the flights from the NYC area to Denver will show under the Denver cargo hub, not under JFK.  IIRC there are 5 round trips to JFK and 6 round trips to EWR from DEN........

    Re: Cargo Routes

    Hi,

As a quick note I am going to start flying some "Over the Pond" missions.  Is there a quick listing where I can find the European airport identifiers for England, France, Spain etc?

    Thanks, DaveH.
