Subject: ZLA D-Day 08, June 1
The Los Angeles ARTCC is hosting D-Day 08 on Sunday, June 1, from 11am-2pm PDT (1800-2100z). This is an event focusing on smaller Class D fields within Southern California, and a tribute to Don Fiveash, a ZLA controller who was a founding member of the VFR movement within ZLA. As a registered member of the ZLA Pilot Cert program, I'd like to personally invite you to come out, fly, and enjoy the solid staffing in the Southern California area.

For those who haven't yet picked up their first rating, there will be plenty of towers online, ready and able to handle pattern work (remember, the V-1 rating can now be flown at any airport where tower service is being provided).
Feel free to do some casual VFR flights in the area, some short-haul IFR, or even continue working towards your ratings.
