    OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: West-Coast Fly-in, May 3, 2300Z-0200Z -- KLAX/KSLC

All right, we're getting together at the above date and time. You can fly either direction, or just into or out of one of the airports without worrying about the other... whatever you wish to do. Since we have no Teamspeak server anymore, just use VATSIM to chat amongst yourselves.. both FSInn and SB3 have a chat device built in. I will not be there, but I know Mike Bergman from LA, will be, and a couple others have said they will try to as well. I'd appreciate it if a few of you could show up.. because we'll have ATC staffing, and I don't want to disappoint them with two or three pilots.

I will likely not be able to make it, due to the job calling me out of town, but if I can get home on a lunch break, even for a minutes, I'll swing through and do a quick LAX-SAN or something.

If you know you will show up, please post here to give the two Mikes an idea of what to expect. Obviously, that's not necessary to participate. All ya really have to do is show up!

Don't you hate meetings like that. You could actually get something done if it weren't for talking about it. Is Dilbert around here anywhere?

It is true about not being be able to get something done if they talk to you when your trying to do some work that your boss set you the day before, but I think they fail to see that!!

If LAX is crowded and you suspect long take off delay look into flying a charter out of Burbank, KBUR to KSLC.  Filing VNY7 DAG J9 MLF JAMMN.

I like the Burbank airport and the VNY7 departure.  I think that is where Tom Cruise hangers his fleet..

    Re: OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: West-Coast Fly-in, May 3, 2300Z-0200Z -- KLAX/KSLC

This is a question specifically for Bill McCoy since he posted the Flight numbers for the LAX/SLC Fly-in. I was wondering, since there will be serveral of us doing this flight, what happens when 2 or more pilots are flying the same route? Having the same FLT number will probably confuse both the pilots and ATC. Just thought I would ask.

Thanks for all you do Bill

    Re: OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: West-Coast Fly-in, May 3, 2300Z-0200Z -- KLAX/KSLC

    A VERY valid point!

To my knowledge, the Flight Dispatch system doesn't freak out if 2 pilots have filed the same flight number.  As far as VATSIM goes, I've always used my Pilot number for a callsign (WWA1745).  I know some use the actual flight number, but for this event I'd recommend not!

    Re: OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: West-Coast Fly-in, May 3, 2300Z-0200Z -- KLAX/KSLC

Use your WWA seniority number when you file on VATSIM.  While our local dispatch could care less if you file a duplicate flight number the VATSIM system will deny you if you try to file a WWA flight that has already been filed as an active flight,
