- 50 Hours in one month, 12/26/2007 - In order to compleate this I did more and more flights with out realising that I had compleated over 50Hours in one month untill 13th January!
So everyone make sure you check out your flight log and see if you too can get an award.
- Longest WestWind Passenger Route, 1/19/2008 - I had to make a Re-Fuling trip because what I had in the tank wasn't enough to fly me all the way to NZAA but you do have to think about the weight balance!
- 50 Hours in one month, 2/1/2008 - I was aiming to do 100 hours in one month but fell short by a few hours but 50 is still enough.
- 50 Hours in one month, 2/29/2008 - Again I was aiming to do 100 hours but only compleated around 74 hours in a month but Febuary is still a short month!
- Longest WestWind Passenger Route, 4/1/2008 - I flew the "Green Monster" again but this time I wasn't brave enough to stay up 20/21 hours (again) so I paused the flight every so often and then saved it and loaded it back up the next time I was at my PC
- 50 Hours in one month, 4/30/2008 - Almost 100 Hours but hopefully my P001 flight should help me get the 100 Hours a Month goal that I want!!
- 50 Hours in one month, 5/31/2008 - My P001 character helped with this one but still Work and School prevent me from getting my 100 Hours in one Month goal :(
- P001 Flight Around the World, 6/22/2008 - WOW! What a tarrific Journy!! My character started off with a regular Management flight from my Home Hub (KJFK) to WWA HQ (KDEN), then picking up the couples and taking them on a RTW trip! This took me around 2 Months (from 4/26/08 - 6/22/08) and I came accross two problems while on this Character, one being a RAM Stick explosion, the other being a crash on the Runway (my 2nd ever logged crash flight).
If you want my advice, DO THIS CHARACTER, it is probbably the most Funnest one avalible!!! - 50 Hours in one month, 6/30/2008 - My P001 character, and the begining of my P255 character helped me get 69ish hours but still I stand short of 100 Hours!

Then to Chile, and across the Atlantic to Cape Verde in Africa and up the coast to Paris. The flight was flown in the CONI. The flight took approximately 110 hours.
- Longest WestWind Passenger Route, 5/13/2007 - I flew the Green Monster. Amsterdam (EHAM) - New Zealand (NZAA) and return. According to the Monster Route mapper in the Europe and Pacific Forum, it is the longest monster route at WW at 11269 nm. The return flight was the next day.
- P001 Flight Around the World, 7/10/2007 - This was a RTW trip in the Piaggio 180. It began and ended at LPAZ in the Azores. The route of flight included stops only on small islands. The route went south around southern Africa, over the Indian Ocean, The Pacific Ocean in the mid latitudes, Easter Island in the south Pacific, across South America and back to the North Atlantic. There were 17 legs.
- P001 Flight Around the World, 7/16/2007 - This was a RTW trip commemorating the introduction of the Boeing 787 which has the capability to fly between any two city pairs in the world. The flight was flown in the B788 in two legs. Singapore - La Paz, Bolivia - Singapore. Each leg was approximately 20 hours of flight time.
- P001 Flight Around the World, 10/23/2007 - This was a RTW trip to visit all the West Wind hubs. The aircraft was a Lear 45. The LJ45 doesn't have a lot of range, so island hopping over the Pacific was a little interesting. 28 Legs. 71.8 hours. Begun on 10/9/7 for a total of 14 days.
- 400 Executive Charter Flight Hours in One Year, 12/31/2007 - 412.4 Hours Executive Passenger Charters 2007
- P001 Flight Around the World, 1/14/2008 - This was a round the world flight in the DC6 beginning at Yellowknife, Canada and proceeding to McMurdo Station, Antarctica, then north via French Polynesia, then West to Seoul, South Korea, then north over the north pole and back to Yellowknife. This was RTW trip number 5 for WestWind.

- 50 Hours in one month, 9/1/2007 - In the month of August 2007, I flew 52.5 hours in 19 flights. Several of these were the LNG flights with Ralph and Robbie and most were long hauls in my 747-400 shared cockpit with Robbie Johnson, which lead out of ATL over into Europe, Africa, Madagascar, Thailand, and Australia. Will continue to finish up to possibly Tokyo and then back to the US
- Air Traffic Control Service, 5/10/2008 - After my graduation from the VATUSA ATC Academy in April of 07, I started controlling a lot. Throughout the past year, I have gained over 550 hours controlling almost every position in the Cleveland ARTCC, also spending some hours in Miami and Washington DC. I have met a great group of guys who I now call my friends. We are really one big family at ZOB. Still love controlling, and now teaching as I am an Instructor at ZOB.

- 50 Hours in one month, 8/31/2007 - Over the summer months while I was deployed, I spent most of my "free time" hiding inside flying my sim. I made several very long flights on my days off! May, July and August all exceeded the 50hr mark, but August was my biggest month with 73 hours. Most of those flights were in the DC-10 or my trusty B736.

- Longest WestWind Passenger Route, 10/21/2007 - The GREEN MONSTER Complete!!! I saw day, I saw night, I saw day again, I saw night again. Flew from EHAM to NZAA with one pit stop for fuel. I flew it in the 747-400ER with no problems over 20.5 hours. Singing to myself (not talking to myself), got me through this beast. Now it's time to vacation in New Zealand!

- P119 Tour of U.S. and Canadian Capitols, 12/11/2007 - On 7 Nov 07, I took off from Atlanta, GA with an earnest bunch of passengers in pursuit to visit all 60 U.S. and Canadian capitals. Throughout the 34 day trip, we flew through all kinds of weather and saw the best of North America. Before returning to Atlanta, I took them to our nation's capital in Washington D.C. as an extra treat for being so patient and being great customers. A total of 61 flights and logging 89 hours for this tour, I would highly recommend anyone trying this. Freedom is priceless, and having a front row seat at the world's largest IMAX served as the truest inspiration. God bless the U.S.A.! - and Canada too!

- P001 Flight Around the World, 3/9/2008 - On 31 Jan 08, I departed Cincinatti with a load of passengers heading west. 39 days later I arrived back home. Throughout the trip I logged 43 flights to include 84 hours and covered 28,091 miles. Some of the more memorable portions of the trip was the castle in Salzburg, the landing in Switzerland, the McCarthy Statue at Incheon, the days at St. Maarten Island, the Tokyo skyline, and being escorted into Baghdad. I told the passengers that they really didn't want to see Iraq, but they insisted. And, well... They paid good. I netted a whopping $38.40 on this trip in tips. You see, I flew them for free, but the memories and the souvenirs made this trip the best. Watch out for South American Chinchillas, they bite when you try to shave them! They do tend to taste like chicken though! :)

- P244 Tahiti to Lake Tahoe in the Grumman Goose, 7/9/2008 - It's official, I'm now married to the ugliest woman in Tahiti. I haven't seen her yet because 37 days ago I left there bound for Lake Tahoe to bring Ken's plane to his summer home. Well, this had to be the wildest trip covering 18,482 miles and 41 stops! Some of the highlights were the island hoppings due west of Tahiti, the Alaskan wilderness, and a special trip to the geographic North Pole. The instruments were going crzay, but I did it. BTW, if you maintain an altitude of 17k, you can fly over 1,000 miles on one fill. I truly know the Goose inside and out, and since I flipped it once on a short runway in Alaska, my ugly Tahitian bride is now waiting for me back in the village! Thanks for the great charter!

- 50 Hours in one month, 10/31/2007 - 60 hours in for the month of October 2007. Lots of flights for Charter P002. This equates to over 13000 air miles!! I should get a bonus for getting in and out of Paro, Bhutan in a Gulfstream 550. (Try it and you'll see what I mean!!)
- 100 Hours in one month, 11/30/2007 - Over 125 hours in November 2007. Lots of charter P002 completed, bringing the tour to South America. Over 52,000 air miles added to the Gulfstream. Lots of hours on weekends and holidays.

- P002 U.N. World Tour, 11/12/2008 - Wow!! What a journey. The charter began 6 April 2007 and ended 11 December 2007 some 352.8 flight hours and 231 cities later!! This was an extremely good way to see some really strange and different scenery in FS9. Good weather, appallingly bad weather, rain, snow and storms all added to the tour. There were huge airports, really tough airports (Paro springs to mind) and airports with no parking. There were major sights (Rome, Niagra Falls, Greece, London etc) and strange scenery (long, narrow valleys in the middle of nowhere) There was snow on the ground (Fjords of Norway), deserts of Africa, jungles of South America, and the Himilayas. FS Pax in the last 1/4 of the tour gave extra challenges of bird strikes, flame outs, engines being shot out (twice), undercarriage and flap failures. Clocked up a few awards for big months, and got a big promotion halfway around the world. This took a lot of discipline to get done, but the longer you go the more you want to finish. Next tour will be in FSX, but no more UN tours. Time to put in some hours locally while visiting the hubs.

- 50 Hours in one month, 1/28/2007 - I have flown 51.7 hours SO FAR this month. I'm not sure how, but I've flown almost every day I've been off. Westwind is a blast and I'm loving it!
- 50 Hours in one month, 2/21/2008 - I have flown 52.9 hours in February. Amazing for such a short month!

- 50 Hours in one month, 11/25/2007 - 52.5 hours of flying so far this month, including my transition training from CAT IV to CAT V. I also completed a very interesting trip from Los Angeles to Copenhagen. The entire trip was made up from WWA connecting flights and looked like this: KLAX/KSEA/KORD/KJFK/EGLL/EKCH, with the Trans Atlantic flight taking 7 hours.
- 25 Flights in one month, 11/27/2007 - Busy month this month between passenger flights, charter flights and transition training its a wonder that I have any hair left and quite amazing, the color still is as dark as it is .... one trip across the pond, quite a few passenger assignment, not to mention the start of a new adventure - Around the World on a charter for some rich kids. I was trying to check out a G5 for the trip but so far no luck, maybe I can get a short term lease somewhere? (FSX compatible) - with some luck should make the promotion to Senior Captain sometime during this trip - we will see....

- P001 Flight Around the World, 1/20/2008 - First ever trip around the word - lots of plans and very exciting - however towards the end it too became little tedious - nonetheless, I started my endeavour on November 27, 2007 and finished it on January 20, 2008. Starting and ending in Los Angeles and celebrating Christmas at the Victoria Falls in Africa on the banks of the Zambezi River. New Years was spend diving in the India Ocean more exactly the Maldives, but not before we took a short detour to see the highest point in Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro. Further to the east we visited Singapore, Manila, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul & Tokyo. Since the season was on for Crab fishing we decided to make a short stop over in Dutch Harbor in the Aleutian Islands before heading towards Alaska and then south to California. During the trip I had the pleasure of receiving my promotion to Senior Captain, which was celebrated appropriately in Brazil - 25235 NM was the total distance flown I did not count the hours.

- 25 Flights in one month, 5/31/2008 - May 2008 - I flew 39 flights of over 500 nm. I never kept track of mileage before, just hours, so going back I was surprised to find I flew over 47,547 nm.
- 100 Hours in one month, 5/31/2008 - May 2008 - I flew 196.5 hrs. The P244 Charter helped but I was over 100 when I got into flying it. I flew 68 flights, which include a few island hops to find fuel.
- P244 Tahiti to Lake Tahoe in the Grumman Goose, 6/1/2008 - P244- I flew this in 20 Legs, twice I had to island hope to find fuel. The total hours flown 95.9. Total mileage flown 12,691.9. I flew the spirit of the charter and tracked a path to the west from Tahiti. I flew north along Asia up to Russia and then East to Alaska. I island hoped East/Southeast and then South to Oregon. From Oregon KAST it was a simply cruise to T38. You can follow my flight plan by view pages 8 - 11. (Side Note:) Using an average Aviation Fuel cost of $5.25 per gallon, it cost the owner $19,430.25 in fuel and then adding my cost of $45.00 per hr inclusive for food and logging the total trip cost to the owner was $23,630.63. I found a 1951 Grumman 21A for sale at a cost of $495,000.00, so I guess having two planes is not cost effective. I am looking forward to fly the Grumman back to Tahiti in the fall.

- 25 Flights in one month, 2/27/2008 - The fight in question was one leg of a two leg trip. This leg was from Casper, WY to Waldon, CO a distance of about 200 miles one way in a Fairchild Metroliner on a cargo trip. The weather was VFR conditions very favorable wind, and perfect landing for a grass strip runway. Even though the leg was 0.6 hours one way, it passed the 25 flighs in a month mark. Most of the trip were short hops, but the total mileage is now around 1000nm.

- 50 Hours in one month, 12/31/2007 - Just started with WestWind on Pearl Harbor Day. By the end of the month I had 80.7 hours. By the 6th of January 08 (technically one month from the start) I had 95 hours. Not quite enought to claim 100 hours for the month, but 50 hours is no sweat.
- 100 Hours in one month, 1/31/2008 - I didn't think I'd be putting in nearly this many hours this month. Then I dicovered and decided to embark on the quest of P119. And decided to do it in a Baron. That takes a lot of hours, especially the trip to Honolulu and back with a cavernous ferry tank. I haven't even come close to finishing P119 at this point, but I've managed to accumulate 134.9 hours since the beginning of the month. I'm having a great time on P119. The angled instrument approach to Juneau in marginal weather without an approach chart was particularly memorable.
- P119 Tour of U.S. and Canadian Capitols, 2/11/2008 - Started this quest in the Beech Baron from KMDD and now we're back. Took 71 flights in 31 days. Flew 21194.9 nautical miles, 141.3 block hours, and burned 3238.87 gallons of 100LL (ferry tank for the Hawaiian legs). Quite an adventure, but the highlight was the low ceiling and visibility approach to Juneau with mountainous terrain close to the approach and the airport. What I thought was going to be an ILS turned out to be an approach on a localizer that was not lined up with the runway and had no glideslope...and I had no approach plate! Broke out high enough to see the approach lights, swing to the left to align with the runway extended centerline, and then swing back to the right to land on the runway. Having survived it, it was great fun. Not much ATC in the northern latitudes (or other traffic, for that matter, except for having to fly an extended downwind because of a 737 in the pattern ahead of me at Goose Bay at 1:00 am local), but P119 was still a great experience.

- P001 Flight Around the World, 3/19/2008 - I completed my first round the world flight in the Boeing 707 as well as taking side trips in the Lear 45 and DHC-6 Twin Otter. The flight took exactly four months from 11/19/07 to 3/19/08. The main reason for this was that i wanted to allow my 12 passengers time to enjoy each stop. Over all I flew for a total of 63704 miles and had a total flight time of 125.9 hrs including side trips in Europe, Australia, and a trip to Dutch Harbor on Unalaska Island. For the main part of the flight the average flight time was 4.1 hours with flights ranging from 1.7 hours to 10 hours. We flew to some pretty interesting places and were extremely lucky in that we had no problems with any aircraft over the 37 legs.
- 100 Hours in one month, 7/31/2008 - Flew a total of 51 flights which totaled up to 142 hours.

- 50 Hours in one month, 10/31/2007 - I flew 51.8 hours in the month of October. I really enjoy the structure of Westwind. It really helps make the experience more realistic. I would have flown those hours with or without Westwind, but now I can have some structure to my flights to help better my pilot skills. Thanks,
Will Morris

- 100 Hours in one month, 11/30/2007 - Flew 21 flights in November with a mix of Trans-Atlantic and domestic company routes. Total 105 hours. Became re-aquainted with Vatsim and online flight in the process. Now I will need to become re-aquanted with my wife if she is still here somewhere...Sweetheart, Honey??
- Longest WestWind Passenger Route, 12/16/2007 - Flew out of Amsterdam on 12/11/2007 for Aukland . Had a good bit of difficulty with company route published with dispatch. Route came out to over 26000 miles one way. I went back in to MSFS Flight planner and set the route to GPS Direct to Tokyo then High altitude airways to Aukland. I then keyed into PMDG FSC and was able to get the routes to agree that way. Had the same issue with the return flight but was able to set up a flight plan for the full flight coming back without any GPS Direct. Was certainly a long flight and took a sizable bite out of my vacation time that was otherwise spent shoveling snow. Gotta love New England. Any way it feels like an accomplishment but not sure if I have many more like this one in me. 20 hours each way is a very long trip!!!
- P001 Flight Around the World, 12/28/2007 - Chicago - New York - Rome - Tokyo - Honolulu - LA - Chicago, 6 legs, 36.8 Hours. Flew corporate team to Rome for X-mas and then to Tokyo to conduct negotiations for Corporate take-over. Stopped in Hawaii to celebrate success then back home to Chicago. Stopped in LA to take possesion of a tiger skin that suddenly became available without legal strings, and the team did some clubbing. Then on home to the Windy (and Snowy) City.

- 50 Hours in one month, 5/27/2008 - I flew 43 flights totaling 50 hours in May 2008. Most of them island hopping around the caribbean on charter P255. It has been a lot of fun and a big challenge flying for WestWind. I hope to earn many more awards in the future.
- P255 Caribbean Adventure, 6/18/2008 - I flew all 41 legs and 7 optional legs in the Caribbean. I learned a ton about VFR and what a joy and pain it can be. It had some of the best scenery and also the toughest landings I have accomplished to date. I can't wait to get started on the next adventure. Should be fun.

- P001 Flight Around the World, 12/7/2006 - It all started with an innocent flight from KIAD to KMSP on 10/25/2006 in a 737-700 flight time 2:15 and the thought occurred to me, instead of flying the return trip why don't I keep flying west until I end up back in my fine home Hub, KIAD. I continued to Seattle, then to PANC, late night arrival online using VATSIM and low and behold I ran into another WWA captain making the trip from PANC back to KSEA very cool... I continued to some Paddock Island, still in Alaska, then to Japan. I headed down the East Coast of Asia down to my birth place, Hong Kong on 11/13/2006. I flew this entire charter online with the exception of the hop accross the pond from EINN to KBOS, stopping over in Greenland. My last leg was KBOS to KIAD, on 12/07/2007... great ATC all the way. Very glad for it to be over, but it was an proud accomplishment!

- Longest WestWind Passenger Route, 5/4/2008 - Set off from EHAM enroute to NZAA. I planned my refueling stop at our hub in Narita Japan, RJAA. Final approach was early morning hours and visibility was foggy until 700 ft. After getting refueled pretty quickly we headed southeast towards Auckland. Winds werent that favorable until halfway to NZAA from RJAA when i caught a tailwind that pushed us to a gs of 614 knots. arrival at NZAA's rwy 5R was delayed by being made to go around by atc due to the aircraft landing before not being cleared of the rwy.
Overall trip length was 9950.3 miles and was flown in 21.9 hours. was a good ride but make sure your FO and relief crew like to talk because there sure isnt much else to do on pond jumping.

- 25 Flights in one month, 7/31/2008 - I began Charter P001 Around the World on July 4, 2008 in the Bombardier Learjet 45. I started in Seattle, WA, and headed west. Today, July 31, I'm flying leg 63 from Paris to Dublin. In this charter this month, I've flown 35 flights of at least 500 nm. Total flying time for those 35 legs was 74.5 hours, covering 24,814 nm, using 84,540 lbs of fuel.
- 100 Hours in one month, 7/31/2008 - Reached 100 logged hours with Charter P001 Around the World. Began charter on July 4, 2008 in Seattle, WA, headed west. Completed leg 64 on July 31, 2008 in London Heathrow at 101.8 logged hours covering 34,776 nm since leaving Seattle.
- P001 Flight Around the World, 8/3/2008 - Left Seattle on July 4, 2008 in the Bombardier Learjet 45. Didn't plan too far ahead throughout the trip, just going from airport to airport, where ever seemed like a fun place to go. Ended up back in Seattle on August 3, 2008, ending leg 84 of the trip. The trip started to the northwest, into Canada and looping to the middle of Alaska then south to Dutch Harbor (had to visit there, being a fan of the Discovery Channel show "Deadliest Catch"). Took the longest leg of the trip, 1,236 miles, across to Russia. Headed down to Japan, across the Korean peninsula to China, then worked south to Australia. After crossing half the Australian continent, we headed north toward Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand. The weather had been pretty good up to this point, then we headed to southern India. It seemed the whole country of India was covered in storms during out trip. We broke through into Nepal with clear skies and an awesome view of Mt. Everest, then back into the storms to land in New Delhi. From there, we hopped to Afghanistan, Dubai, Iraq, and Iran on our way to Turkey. Visited Cairo and saw the pyramids, then traveled through Greece and Italy on the way to Gibraltar. After zig-zagging through Europe, we made our way back to the west across Iceland and Greenland. We made a couple hops in Canada, then headed over more open water to visit Bermuda and some fun islands on the way to South America. We even took our chances and flew through the heart of the Bermuda Triangle, to an eventual landing in front of a fantastic sunset at the famous Princess Juliana airpot in Saint Martin. After skimming the northern part of South America, we headed across Mexico and re-entered the United States in Arizona. A couple more quick stops, then we arrived back in Seattle in the afternoon of August 3, 2008. The trip's 84 legs covered 46,966 miles, used 165,570 pounds of fuel, and took 152.4 hours flying time (138.5 hours logged), and visited 46 countries. 50 of the 84 legs were over 500 miles in length. The longest leg was PADU to UHPP (Alaska to Russia) at 1,236 miles. The shortest leg was WPDL to WATM (in Indonesia) at 61 miles. Used FSX and flew the entire charter at 1X (normal) speed, with only a few breaks away from the computer on longer flights now and then. The course, with photos of most legs and landings, can be viewed at http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?client=firefox-a&hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=114552510566925127641.000451d52cd1df23a3237&z=2 and the photos and other maps can be viewed at http://www.pbase.com/dan_wolf/wwa_p001.

- P002 U.N. World Tour, 5/26/2008 - Whew.... glad that's over. I began at JFK (I had flown to an airport an hour away right before), so didn't have to fly there from a hub. Then took off to make 241 stops, totally 418.9 hours. Started in Europe, moved through Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Oceania, South America, the Caribbean, Central America and then finished with North America. I started off planning to fly to each country in order of their rankings in the FIFA soccer rankings, but that ended somewhere around South Africa after my sixth or seventh straight 4-plus hour jaunt. There were some nasty flights (Paro in crappy visibility) and some very nice ones (Oceania, Caribbean, Scandinavia). Africa was tough, and I almost quit halfway through that continent. But once I finished.. it's like the longer I kept at it, the more I wanted to get it done. I was flying three, four flights a day (sometimes more if they were quick hops) toward the end to get this done. Very rewarding experience... and I have no idea what to do now, lol.

- 25 Flights in one month, 1/28/2007 - It was my first month as a WW pilot. I wound up with 31 flights at the end of my first month and flew to many cities including Washington DC, Atlanta, Dallas/Ft Worth, Reno, San Fran and Seattle.

- 50 Hours in one month, 1/30/2008 - First month with West Wind. I flew 90 hours. Would have done over 100, but I didn't have hours available to log. Mainly flew regional routes out of KIAD, but flew a few charter flights, and a few cargo flights.
- 50 Hours in one month, 2/28/2008 - Flew over 50 hours this month. Did a lot of cargo flights, and I did some charter flights in Hawaii. Another fun month with West Wind.

- P001 Flight Around the World, 5/28/2008 - Flew two rich coules around the world in the Dassault 2000 (awesome aircraft). It took 75 flights and 125 hours. Landed on every continent except Antartica. Some of the more memorable things were the scenery around Katmandu and the landing/approach into Paro. As for buildings seeing the Petronas Towers on descent into Mylasia was awesome, as was Taipei 101 (not standard in FS9, I installed it myself) while descending into Taipei. Having the last layover in Vegas was cool, seeing all the casinos in the background. The low-level flyover of Hoover Dam was a great way to end this awesome adventure.
- 25 Flights in one month, 5/31/2008 - Flew 60 flights this month, 30 of which were over 500nm.
- 100 Hours in one month, 5/31/2008 - Flew 103 hours this month. Most of them were for P001, but I also flew a few cargo and passenger routes. May was another awesome month with West Wind.
